The We are W.O.M.A.N (wise, optimistic, motivated, empowered, natural) Conference was Saturday at Dwight Hall and focused on putting an end to human trafficking, and modern day slavery. The event was conceptualized and organized by JoJo Sutton, a senior at New Haven Academy, and also a fellow with the Future Project. The Future Project is an amazing organization that challenges and empowers New Haven youth to dream, think, and act big. For more info about the Future Project, visit them on the web: www.thefutureproject.org or Facebook: NH Future Project Facebook
The conference featured speakers and panelists from Love146 (another amazing organization which you chould check out here: www.love146.org), Yale Law School, and the CT Department of Children.
