Polychromasia is a collection of paintings by the late Ficre Ghebreyesus, who emigrated from Eritrea (Eritrea on Google Maps), and made New Haven his home for almost 30 years. Ficre studied painting in New York, and also earned an M.F.A. from Yale University in 2002. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Ficre was the co-owner/chef of Cafe Adulis on Temple Street from 1992-2008. I miss that place, and we miss Ficre Ghebreyesus. Artspace was packed with more people at one time than I can ever remember being in there!
Polychromasia will be on display at Artspace until April 24th. You should get down there and check it out. For more info, check out: Polychromasia on the Artspace Website
