As with any nonprofit, raising funds is an essential and time consuming aspect of maintaining financial sustainability. In addition to time spent competing on the track, traveling to and from bouts across the entire North East (sometimes further) and practices, team members also volunteer countless hours to support the organization in a variety of positions within the organization. Roller derby is an expensive activity given the need to rent facilities for practice and hosting bouts, insurance, hiring two police officers for each bout (per city ordinance) and EMTs in case of injuries. They’re a hard working and dedicated bunch whom attract a wide cross section of people to their bouts. Please consider advertising with them or making a donation.
