The I-91 separates East Rock from Fair Haven with an ugly underpass. A community group got together to put up a bright, permanent mural.
After a beautiful summer, we’re happy to announce the painting is on!! We’ll be kicking off the 27th with a festive block party and community painting of the word “LOVE”.
We crowd-sourced mural art, gathered as a community to vote on which art we liked best, and, after a really tight race with lots of amazing artists we are finally ready to put up the art!
We’ve raised a tremendous amount but are still raising money until the end of September with donations going to the artists.
Come celebrate with music, free food and performances as the artists begin painting.
