#ForEveryChild ForEveryChildCT
The Coalition For Every Child is a movement of parents, students, educators, community members, faith leaders, advocates and organizations dedicated to ensuring that each and every Connecticut student has a quality education. Stand with us and support the campaign for better schools.
Adapted from their press release:
Thousands of kids and parents joined officials and community leaders at a rally in New Haven calling for bold, urgent action to address Connecticut’s failing schools crisis. The announcement represents a growing number of Connecticut parents joining the pushing for stronger and swifter progress to help 40,000 students trapped in failing schools across the state.
The rally came on the heels of an issue brief released last month by Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now finding that nearly 40,000 students across the state are trapped in failing schools. Children in these schools, 90% of whom are low-income and children of color, lack access to quality options, whether they be high-performing district, charter or magnet schools.
