The Stetson Branch library is its own little beautiful world in a strip on Dixwell. Brightly colored and chock full of books of all kinds (with a focus on African American literature and history), the librarians love and promote reading (of course), learning and community.
Summer reading starts this month, kids can sign up at any of the neighborhood library branches and earn points for reading and other activities. Stetson childrens’ librarian Phillip Modeen has been gearing up for the summer program with the national theme, “Every Hero Has a Story.” Check him out below sticking a villain up on the wall for kids to fill in (and knock out!) with reward stickers…
And if you haven’t stopped by Stetson, make sure to check it out. It’s a special place.
