Hey New Haveners. This week, I’m back for a very short post about St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Whitney Avenue, more because I’ve discovered its hidden-gem-ness than anything to do with Easter. That’s just fortuitous timing.
I ended up at St. Thomas’ Wednesday evening as part of an assignment for the New Haven Independent. Outside, the weather was beautiful and inviting (and very hard to part with!); inside, a very cool music group called Elm City Consort was performing François Couperin’s Leçons de ténèbres for the Wednesday of Holy Week. I’m not a huge fan of churches, but I was charmed completely walking around before and after the concert. Here are just a few shots.
