Hey there, New Haveners! If you’ve been by the New Haven Green on a recent Friday or Saturday, you’ve seen that there’s new, welcome activity—a series of cultural pop-ups, thanks to a collaboration from the city’s Department of Parks, Recreation, and Trees and the Proprietors of the New Haven Green. In late September, the Green vibrated with the sounds of drumming from Healing Drum, a group that meets each month at Bregamos Community Theater. Then last weekend, it came alive with bomba, and the Afro-Caribbean rhythms of Movimiento Cultural. This weekend, it’s back with the Elite Drill Squad. Check it out!
