A new Social Justice Collaborative is bringing together political and interfaith leaders as well as civic and community groups, according to its organizer, the Rev. Kelcy G.L. Steele, pastor of Varick Memorial AME Zion Church.
The group will hold a protest rally and peace march Sunday from Varick, 242 Dixwell Ave., to the Green, where an empty hearse and caskets will demonstrate the anger throughout Greater New Haven over the killing of George Floyd and other African Americans by police and of systemic racism.
