Today the ribbon was cut for the grand opening of wow!!tikka at 135 Orange Street in the former location of Tikkaway Grill. Tikkaway owner Gopi Nair closed up shop about two years ago due to Covid staffing challenges and health concerns. Gopi teamed up with longtime friend and restaurant veteran, Kannan Kesavalu to create wow!!tikka which promises even more delicious versions of the healthy, casual Indian Food that Tikkaway was known for.
I would say that they’ve succeeded! The food was sooooo good. Dozens of Tikkaway fans returned to support Gopi and Kannan, and sample the menu. I’m sure that this new endeavor will quickly become a beloved town favorite, just like Tikkaway was.
