SAGA (the South Asian Graduate and Professional Association at Yale) celebrated the Hindu festival Navaratri, by hosting a Garba night on October 30th. Garba and Dandiya are traditional folk dances from Western India that are typically performed during the festival. Everyone who came learned the steps involved in both types of dances, and danced the night away.

Practicing the Dandiya (sticks), another traditional folk dance. The dancers strike the sticks to the beat of the music as they dance in two circles. It involves energetic and complex movements.
