I am a music journalist, editor and radio producer who has lived and worked in the West River and Dwight neighborhoods of New Haven since 1976. I’m the editor of RootsWorld, an online magazine about music from around the world, and the producer of RootsWorld Radio, a weekly syndicated program, as well as a producer (for almost 30 years) at local radio stations; currently at WPKN-FM in Bridgeport.
I was an avid photographer in my youth (and still have my lovely little Pentax K1000) and came back to it as digital was dawning. I never ceased to be fascinated by the ever-changing little world I inhabit here in New Haven.
“Boulevard of Dreams” is an ongoing project to record a single stretch of the city at a time, and The Boulevard seemed like the perfect place to start, with it’s broad swath running from industrial, through watersheds and parks and then up into residential splendor.
