The iconic and award winning Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge was lit up in Red White and Blue this Memorial Day Weekend to honor and mourn the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The bridge also gets lit in the patriotic motif for the fourth of July.
I took these photos in Criscolo Park where the Mill and Quinnipiac Rivers merge. I used a tripod to capture the long exposures. After I took the traditional photo I asked myself “what else can I do?” I started experimenting with longer exposures, aperture, and manually adjusting the zoom for the interesting creative effects.
Get in touch if you have any questions about the technique (or anything else really) chris@ilovenewhaven.org
I hope that you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend!
