Yesterday I spent some time on the green asked folks what they were thankful for.
William: “for friends and family, reminiscing, and enjoying togetherness”
(left to right) Antonio, Jazmin, Christina: “for having shoes….friends…to live another day…. our mothers” Christina also added that she was grateful for her two year old son Juan.
Michael: “thankful to have some food for this year and grateful to live another day”
Chelsea: “life!”
Gerard: “having a job; the little things; putting the lights on the ( City of New Haven Christmas) tree and making people happy”
Jeffrey and Genevieve (students from Ashland, Oregon) : “a lot, but for a home away from home; a crisp New England November”
Cookie: “for having friends and family, thankful to be on Earth”
Ben: “absolutely everything, I wake up grateful, go to sleep grateful, and i’m grateful for that.”
Ali: “food”
Ted: “family”
Cynthia: “that I woke up this morning; family that I can spend Thanksgiving with; that God is touching people’s lives”
Gabor: “that there is an increasing number of vegetarians today”
Mallorie: “that is a hard question…being able to walk around and know that I didn’t do anything wrong to anybody; my health; my mom”
James: “having a wonderful family that I can lean on and they can lean on me; helping people; sharing my many blessings with good people”
