I have been taking pictures for the last thirty five years or so, often being the official photographer at a wedding or school or community event. I do like to take pictures for my own satisfaction and the pictures here fall into that bin. All of these were taken with my IPhone, either with the Photosynth or the Pano app. Each of these apps stitches together multiple views. I seek out settings which I think would make interesting or provocative panoramic photos. The app when it flattens a three dimensional situation creates distortions of size that remind me of how Greenland looked huge on the Mercator map projection view. The adventures were at the Yale Bowl, the opening of the Apple Store, the Union League Cafe, the Art and Architecture Building, the Yale Art Gallery, Hull’s Hobbies, a concert by the Inflatables at Lyric Hall, and the 2011 Orange Street Festival. – Phil Rosenthal
