Today I am posting three slide show entries about agriculture and farming. Agriculture, particularly urban agriculture is a topic that I’m very interested in, and also actively involved in. I love that New Haven has so many exciting examples of growing produce in an urban setting.
This set of photos was taken over the weekend while I was attending a retreat in West Corwall, CT with other leaders from New Haven. While exploring the area, I stumbled upon the CT Antique Machinery Association (http://www.ctamachinery.com/). They have some really cool toys! (old tractors, steam engines, trains, mining equipment, and lots more). They are super-nice, welcoming, and friendly.
This weekend (9/28- 9/30) they are having their 28th Annual Fall Festival where thousands of people will come and visit exhibits, and also get to see many antique tractors, trains and steam engines running. For more info about the event visit (http://www.ctamachinery.com/2012-fall-festival/)
Now scroll down, press play, and enjoy the farm machines, and some of the West Cornwall/ Kent scenery!
