The Angola Three. Robert Hillary King, Albert Woodfox and Herman Wallace These men are/were prisoners who were placed in the Angola Prison’s solitary confinement in 1972 after a prison guards murder. King spent 29 years in solitary confinement. His conviction was overturned and he was subsequently released. Wallace, was released October 1, 2013 and died October 4, 2013 from liver cancer.
